Unfortunately, sometimes it’s inevitable to part with a pet, and we’ll do our best to help through these difficult times. Fill out a surrender form ahead of time: Spaces are limited and the sooner we can start re-homing efforts, the better the chances of them finding new loving home.
Look for alternatives before surrendering
Surrendering a loved family member is always a last resource. We can help look for alternatives whether it is behavior, financial, or housing issues. We might be able to suggest resources when it comes to looking for pet training options, pet-friendly housing, or financial assistance. Contact Us for assistance.
If we are unable to find a permanent or temporary space for the pet before the surrender by date, we will reach out to different organizations while increasing community outreach and re-homing efforts. Individual efforts are encouraged. While in a temporary shelter, rest assured you will be informed if re-homing was successful, and consulted when not.
